KAJAANI GREY

PG BLACK
Properties: small granularity, equigranular, dense black diabase that can have local black stripes. Suitable for all in- and outdoors applications. PG Black is primarliy used for gravestones, but it is also suitable for interior stones, such as tabletops. How to threat stone surfaces

To ensure the long life and to maintain beautiful exterior of high-quality, easy-care stone products, you should remember the following, generic instructions:

• Stone surfaces should be cleaned regularly according to the surface finish. The surface can be treated by using a detergent solution or, for marble surfaces, stone vax. Never use acidic detergents for marble surfaces!
• There are special detergents for stone surfaces that help you maintain the beautiful exterior of stone.
• Polished surfaces: clean water and cloth.
• Matte honed surfaces: clean water and cloth, stains according to instructions.
• Sawn, sandblasted, cleaved surfaces: clean water and cloth.
• Headstones: brush any moss away with a steel brush and rinse well. This prevents moss growth.
• Stain removal:
• Any stains should be removed as soon as possible so that the stone won't have time to absorb the foreign material.
• Primary removal method is mechanical, or careful scraping or brushing.
• You can use clean water and a cloth to remove the stain.
• If the stain won't come loose, you can try the following solvents:
  • Candle vax: thinner, gasoline or trichlorthylene
  • Fruit juice: weak solution of ammonia or acetic acid
  • Red wine: weak solution of ammonia, or a mixture of hydroxy and acetic acid.
